CelluliteEvery woman's nightmare ...
Cellulite refers to the dimpling of the skin also known as orange peel syndrome or cottage cheese skin. It occurs when the subcutaneous fat product into the dentin creating a junction called adipose tissue. Cellulite is most commonly found in areas of the body such as the thighs, buttocks, stomach, lower back and upper arms.
As the skin sustains damage from many sources such as ageing and the environment, it loses its essential water and weakens. Cellulite and stretch marks are caused by the skin that has deterioraated and dehydrated to the point where buoyant fat cells trapped fast below the skin are able to push into the dermis (the middle layer of skin) and shows through the surface.
Nearly every woman has some cellulite, yet there are things we can do to minimise our own unwanted dimples.
If excess weight is an issue, certainly losing weight will help (though even very slim women can have cellulite, so don't beat yourself up about this too much!). The exact cause of cellulite is still not known. To minimise yours, make sure you nurture your body from the inside and out. Drink plenty of water, eat a fresh healthy diet, get enough exercise and use these specialist anti-cellulite products to achieve a smoother silhouette.
